From Two Laptops to a Continental Movement
The spark that started it all โ and never stopped burning
Started It All
Two Laptops.
One Vision.
Before TechShe Can Africa became a growing movement, it began with a simple idea and two donated laptops. As a software engineer, Roselinda Keziah Wanam initially set out to build a programme introducing children to coding and robotics.
But while working within communities, something became clear. The women in those communities โ mothers, farmers, traders, and small business owners โ were working tirelessly to support their families. They possessed remarkable resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Yet they were excluded from the digital world.
If women could access technology, they could transform their businesses. If women transformed their businesses, they could uplift their families. And if families were uplifted, entire communities would rise. What began with two laptops became the seed of TechShe Can Africa.
